Highly Recommended Harassment is a real dilemma, which may cause victims to dislike school, experience feelings of low self-esteem and possibly become depressed. Becoming a harasser often develops because a young adult was once a victim of harassment. The Harassment Workshop addresses various forms of harassment that are occurring on today’s school campuses. Viewers have an opportunity to hear young adults share their personal experiences concerning teasing, discrimination, verbal abuse and other types of harassment. This program provides support through a peer-to-peer procedure where those being harassed will be able to relate to encounters others have been subjected to.
The Harassment Workshop empowers victims by providing specific strategies for directly confronting harassment issues and teaches young adults when and how to take a stand and when to avoid a potential harassment situation. A VHS, Teacher’s Resource Booklet and specific student activities are useful tools, which are also included in this program.
