Social Skills Workshop Series: Developing Confidence & Self-Esteem

This 4-part research-based video and print curriculum is a primer on critical social skills that will aid and prepare teens for developing confidence, getting along with others, avoiding conflicts as well as increasing their self-esteem among peers and adults. Designed as a workshop, a group of students led by a clinical psychologist improvise common social scenes your students are sure to recognize and relate to. Some of these skills include basic courtesy, listening skills, reading verbal and non-verbal cues, handling common social and school encounters, compromise and negotiation and a special section on shyness-busting skills. Print package reinforces the video’s visual lessons.

Basic Social Skills

Demonstrates foundation social skills including basic courtesy, listening, non verbal skills, icebreakers and others in common school situations.

Negotiation and Compromise

Students and facilitator are observed modeling common conflict situations involving other students, teachers and parents.

Teens and faciltitator reveal proven methods for developing self confidence and self esteem.

Shyness Busting Skills

Models in depth scenarios and practical advice that will help shy and very shy students to take steps toward eliminating social anxiety.
