Is College for Me? Looking Toward the Future

This fast-paced program helps middle school students understand why they need to start thinking about college now. Real students from four-year, two-year and technical programs share their college experiences and why it is so important to get a college degree. They emphasize how different college courses are from middle and high school, as well as the great opportunity college presents to meet many different kinds of people and broaden one’s experience of the world. Includes different college options such as commuting from home, living in a dorm, or taking courses online. Discusses the availability of financial aid and scholarships; the importance of basic skills such as reading , writing and good study habits in gaining college admittance; and the need to begin preparing for college now.
