There is no better way to achieve job security than by making yourself an indispensible employee. This program encourages students to do just that. By volunteering to take on new projects and learn new skills, employees begin to understand the inner workings of a business. New skills that they pick up make those employees that much more useful and help put them on track toward growth. What’s more, those skills will often prove useful when it comes time to change jobs. This video and print program provides students with an excellent combination of motivational guidance and practical pointers. Recruiters and managers as well as employees provide anecdotes about the things that employees do to get noticed, and why those actions are appreciated by the “higher ups.” Worksheets are provided to extend the video lessons, allowing students to assess and chart their own initiative.
